Richard E. Graves
Richard advises clients on a multitude of litigation, transactional, and regulatory matters involving real estate and land use. His practice includes representing purchasers and sellers in real estate transactions, developers and property owners in land use administrative board proceedings, and a host of other persons in real estate litigation. In each particular matter, Richard pays close attention both to the big picture and individual details. He has been named a Cityview Top Attorney for real estate in 2021 and 2023.
Richard graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2015 and was elected to the Order of the Coif at that time. Prior to joining Frantz, McConnell & Seymour, Richard served as a judicial law clerk to Justice Sharon G. Lee of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Outside the office, Richard enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, following college football, and attempting to find excuses to spend time in the Smoky Mountains.
