Richard E. Graves
A Tennessee native and a true Volunteer at heart, Richard, who obtained both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Tennessee, couldn’t imagine living and working anywhere but Knoxville.
Richard, who maintains a general civil practice with an emphasis on real estate law and zoning and land use, thoroughly enjoys helping his clients navigate through and solve their legal issues.
While in law school, Richard received awards for his appellate litigation clinic, contract drafting, constitutional law, Chapter 11 bankruptcy and property courses. After graduating magna cum laude from law school in 2015, Richard was nominated to the Order of the Coif.
Prior to joining Frantz, McConnell & Seymour, Richard, a member of the Real Estate Law Section of the Tennessee Bar Association, served as a law clerk to Justice Sharon G. Lee of the Tennessee Supreme Court.
Outside of the office, Richard enjoys spending time with his family and friends, following college football, and spending as much time as possible in the majestic Smoky Mountains.
