The University of Tennessee College of Law is moving up the National Rankings according to U.S. News’ annual law school rankings issue. The College of Law moved up to 27th overall among all public universities and 56th among all public and private universities.

The College of Law’s clinical program, which provides law students experience representing indigent clients both criminally and in civil matters, was ranked 6th among public universities and 12th overall in the country. The College of Law was also ranked 8th among public universities for its legal writing program and 22nd overall.
