FMS attorneys, Sharon Potter and Kevin Dean, were invited to participate in the presentation by Mike Brown of Private Wealth Management Group, LLC, key speaker at the monthly meeting of the Fairfield Glade Ladies Club on November 6, 2013.
The seminar, “Women and Money,” discussed the unique challenges faced by women and the steps they can take to achieve financial security for themselves and their families. As part of the seminar, Sharon and Kevin discussed the importance of an estate plan with wills, health care directives, power of attorney, and trusts to protect their assets, as well as certain tax issues – income, estate, gift and capital gains taxes – that should be considered in accumulating and protecting assets.
